Ruthlessly Optimistic

Since starting Open Bar we have been fortunate enough to have met some amazing people. We were inspired to make this bracelet for a customer we met 6 years ago and have remembered her bubbly and contagious personality since day one. She has always been one of our biggest supporters. 

Tammy was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. Our hearts broke when we heard the news. But we knew that Tammy’s love for life, infectious smile, laugh, and optimism would carry her through. She has continued to be Ruthlessly Optimistic and continue to leave an impact on the lives of everyone she meets despite the battle she faced. We designed this bracelet specifically for her as a way to give back and aid in healing with specific gemstones. 

In 2023, Tammy made the descision for proceeds to be donated to a local non-profit: Friends Together. They are an organization that serves cancer patients and their families in northern Michigan. They provide support programs, transportion, lodging, and many more resources.

We blended hematite, howlite, agate, crystal quartz, sea glass, tiger skin jasper, and lava rock to create this bracelet. Hematite is meant to help calm during stressful and worrisome times. Crystal quartz aids in relieving pain and healing. Howlite calms the mind. Lava aids in strength and protection. Lastly but certainly not least, Sea glass, while not necessarily a gemstone, has renewal and healing properties. A metaphor for life, renewing and reviving what is once lost to a new life full of beauty and hope.

Always remember, no matter what battle you may be facing, continue to be Ruthlessly Optimistic and push on.
